I have been thinking lately about things you could do with psi, and actually just 5 minutes from starting to make this post I thought about memory and it's uses. Memory can be use to well, remember things, like psi techs. So I thought about using psi to increase memory. But I myself do not even know the first step to do this. As such I thought I might open a thread to discuss this. So here it is. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

I'm not sure if that sort of ability would classify as being psi. Certainly I could conceive of using "data storage" constructs that, when triggered in a certain way, could induce a memory recall, but I'm not sure that it's necessary. You'd be surprised at the stuff you can remember if you try.

There is one memory-related ability which I would consider psi, and that is telepathically accessing other people's memories, and downloading them to your own brain. This is an ability I've come to term "memory synchronization", especially when it's applied to subconscious memories. At least, that is what I seem to have observed occuring; I suppose I could be seeing something else happening that has the same results. I wrote a description of how to do it down somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it up.

I meant using psi to increase your memory. By the way I have also thought that if you could read someones mind you could learn stuff they know(Like languages),

if your skilled enough to go that deep into someones mind, things that are more hard wired are deeper down. or at least that's the way it's seems to be for me.

It's easier to pick up surface thoughts, but actually going into someones memory is much more difficult... Also, I'm not sure, but I heard that trying to force your way into someone's memory is painful to that person.

if you do it wrong yes, if you do it right then the person never knows you were there.
