I have a technical problem, my account has not been deleted. Yet I am banned from the IRC room, and not showing up on the banned list FxChiP set up btw, and so am obviously not wanted.

Obviously I am not quite 'up' on when exactly the ban was made. However, that is irrelevent to the actual issue of my reasonable and it seems constantly denied request for deletetion of my account.

Because it is stupid to request an account be deleted. Simply do not use it, and all is solved. We don't generally delete accounts, because it messes up our database, and would leave all prior posts unattributed. We will not do that, so you will just have to live with it.
I have never understood people who seem to feel they will be unable to contain themselves and keep from posting when they want to leave, so have to have the admins prevent them from logging in.

Locking it rather than deleting it would solve that stated problem. I will out of civility leave the issue of what you understand and do not understand alone, however it actually has a high amount of personal symbolic value for me to have my account here deleted or locked, far outside of restraining my impulsive nature and making a post on occasion due to such.

Can we wave our hands around and declare 'voila, it is locked', and then you just don't log in again? If you can't restrain yourself from posting, we must have one heck of a great thing going on here, and you must actually WANT to do so. Why should we stop you if you want to?

Is it really that necessary? No.
If Felidae did something to get himself banned, then oh well. He'll just have to deal. If he didn't, then there's no reason to lock him out, either. I don't PERSONALLY recall any problems with Feli in the past. Whatever issues he might be having on his own, I imagine he'll figure out how to deal with them in time. It's not as though people need to go into a 12-step program to avoid the Guild. We're not doing anything bad here.
Consider it a public service. You train your self-discipline by not logging in if you don't want to, and grow as a person.
