View Full Version : Micro-PK, fun uses

Micro-PK is the altering of computer systems and probability (on a smaller scale). How does it work and what can you do with it?
If you practice Micro-PK try and work on your computer. Make programs shut off, slow down downloads, speed them back up, turn on your computer, etc. The most common thing to do is find an random number generator (RNG) and try to make it hit a number you want repeatdly.
Try playing with cards. Try to get all the Aces out of the card deck one right after the other. Or try and effect the way a coin falls so it always lands on tails. There are plenty of fun card and dice tricks people practice to get better.
Anyone else use Micro-PK for anything? Post any fun ideas you have.

I am intending to using it on a fruit machine one day.

Playin' the slots! lol. I'd love to see that working a few times in a row.
Of course...if you were smart...you'd spread it around...lose a few times, win, leave, do the same thing somewhere else...

I honestly haven't played with mirco PK in a while, though I have used it with cards, dice, random number genarators, etc, with a little success on occasion (it seems). Honestly, it's not THAT entertaining.

Not that entertaining... until you start crashing computers or turning them off without getting near them :P. More experienced people seem to have programs they want open up for them. Me for example... back when I used to mess with MicroPK programs I would want to open up would do so as soon as I sat down in my chair.

i hope this doesnt sound sucky or anything, but i just dont believe in the concept of micro PK. i am a machine empath myself, and i have extensive abilities with all the effects on computers that you are associating with micro PK, but the effects that i feel myself causing arent machine specific events. its actually more like that cold dead feeling i get when my younger brothers suck the electricity out of the outlet to crash my remote controlled helicopter. it seems to be a fine manipulation of the electricity in the computer. when i speed up my downloads, i pull the electrical signals toward me faster, or i help them find a better route through the network or the router. when i stop a program, i halt the flow of the signals to the processor, and i speed them up to run something faster. Its kinda like JAVA programming. You dont go and make a huge class and interface and client programs just to explain a number in the terms of an integer, when you could just put "int A = 6;" anywhere you want in your program and be done with it with no importing or additional anything. instead of saying that whats actually happening is a kind of spin off of electrokinesis, you are defining it as a brand new something else. it seems a little more efficient to combine "micro PK" and electrokinesis.

What the hell is a machine empath? Can you explain the term?

As for using micro-PK, I've gotten a few drinks out of vending machines...without money. (Does it count as stealing, I wonder...if the machine thinks it HAS the money...?)

lol! i usually just hack the machines, so its a little bit more legal.
just remember: 4-2-3-1
'tis the doorway... on most common soda machines. some alternative passcodes and programming standards may apply. use at own risk. new prices vary, some rules and eligibility requirments also apply.

Actually, some machines now are 1-3-2-4, its like that on one of the Snapple machines in my school, the other one uses 4-2-3-1.

Damn I find this out after quitting drinking stuff from vending machines. ;-)

You can't do that much without being able to actually open the door to the machine.

sure you can, you just have to set the machine to sell at like 15 cents and then see how much farther the dollar they were charging you before will go! i like soda...
but as far as the code goes, it is changable. as far as i can tell, 4-2-3-1 is just the factory default. which is nice, because my school has like 7 soda machines on each level (four levels total :) ), and after a while, it just isnt good to change something that you're pretty sure nobody knows about in the first place. which, coincidentally, is what happened at my school.

Really? Last I heard the debug menu you're talking about couldn't adjust the price, what number c-c-combo breaker did you use to change the price?

N-Ne-Nec-Necro-NECROPOST!!!
Really though. The post you're asking about I seem to have written over a year ago. And as much as I should probably hate to say it, my memory doesn't typically last an hour, let alone a month or a year. Not even joking. I carry a big pad of stick-notes with me at school so that I don't forget my homework, essays, that I have to eat (or not eat), and other stuff that I really need to remember. So all I can tell you is that you can change the price, and get some marginally cheaper drinks by doing so. How, heck if I know.
On the brighter side of things, this is what Google was made for. So that people can look up exactly how to break into and/or steal from soda machines when in dire need of fizzy refreshments.

how do you do this, do you have to practice micro-pk in general, or is there something different you can do

4-2-3-1, or 1-3-2-4 ... Default settings that are almost never changed :D
