What the movie states is, that reality is actually that bizzare and all we see is the illusion, it is explained near the end when you see things from maple syrup man's perspective inside his ship.
I think it is a very intresting idea, and can be closely tied to Psi as another "illusion" theory.
If anybody here knows what the law of attraction is, I belive it is very closely related to the explanation of Psionic abilities. As if one can trigger a chain of possibilities within the universe only through the power of thought; this suggests that literally anything is possible when it comes to human potential. As weather or not we use immidiate psionic abilites something like delivering a message or moving an object CAN be accomplished either way. Perhaps we are gods ourselvs, living in a world with infinite possibilities and we are simply blind to them?

The biggest hole in any of the 'reality is an illusion' theories is that folks with schizophrenia have no appreciable affect on the world around them, in spite of their radically different perception of reality, and beliefs.

perhaps everybodys colective belife of the opposite contradicts their abbility to effect our reality as the way they percive it?
